VANPOOL
If you are interested in learning more about our vanpools or want to start/join a vanpool, please let us know! Vanpools can serve any of ACHD’s locations and any work shift, as long as there are enough riders and drivers.

CARPOOL
Riding to work with a colleague is not only fun, it reduces your gas bill, costly wear and tear on your vehicle, and puts that money right back in your pocket. Research shows that socializing during a commute is directly associated with positivity and happiness, too. Win-win! Ask around the office/yard or find a carpool partner here.

BIKING AND WALKING
Those who bike or walk to work enjoy daily exercise and time to clear their minds before and after work. ACHD is actively working to make biking and walking to work easier and more attractive - including recent bike storage improvements with parking, installed a permanent fix-it station at HQ and showers with access to bike repair tools/materials, and upcoming improvements to the ramp and gated entry to bike storage at HQ.

BUS

TELEWORK
ACHD’s work from home policy allows some team members to telework. Ask your direct supervisor about your telework policy. Working from home helps our community by reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality. But working from home also helps you! Put time back in your day, money back in your pocket, and leave your stressful commute in the dust.

FREE TRANSIT PASS
That’s right, all ACHD employees have access to a free system-wide transit pass. Please contact Commuteride and we’ll get you squared away.
